I have a first class honours degree in Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham and a Post-graduate Certificate in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes from the University of Middlesex/Metanoia Institute.

My Creative Writing courses offer an introduction for new or budding writers to the variety of genres that are available to the creative writer - including short stories, poetry, plays and screenplays.   Each genre has its own purpose, style and format and an understanding of these can help focus your writing and introduce you to genres that you may not have tried before.

With Writing for Wellbeing, the emphasis is not on the style or quality of what is written but on the feelings that the writing expresses and how the expression of those feelings can improve your sense of wellbeing.  Using a selection of prompts, we explore the range of challenges that life throws our way and discover ways of reducing their impact upon us.

Professional Associations

I am a member of Lapidus - the Writing for Wellbeing Association.
